Final Fantasy XV Update: Moogle Chocobo Carnival Opens January 24; Square Enix Hints Another Upcoming DLC

Final Fantasy 15 is officially releasing the Holiday Pack and Holiday Pack + on Jan. 24. This downloadable content (DLC) comes with the Moogle Chocobo Carnival. Latest news also reveals that Square Enix is now working in the lab with a new DLC that will soon be announced.

Final Fantasy 15 - Moogle Chocobo

The first DLC for Final Fantasy 15 is finally coming as Square Enix announced last Monday, Jan. 9 that it is rolling out this content on Jan. 24. These packs also come with the much-anticipated Moogle Chocobo Carnival which will last for a limited time only. The developer has not issued any details as to when the event would end.

No details have been unveiled yet as to the complete mechanics of the said event other than it will take place in Altissia. Moogle Chocobo Carnival has been speculated in previous reports that Prompto will take center stage here considering his love for this animal. There will also be a series of challenges to complete and in return will give away rewards. Other speculations suggest that balloons might also take a huge part in this event.

As revealed earlier, this event will include a customization applicable for clothing of the playable characters. The trial edition of the DLC brings Noctis a Choco-Mog Tee while the Season Pass or Premium Edition gives him the Festive Ensemble. It is expected as well that Chocobos will get a new getup. In the meantime, Square Enix has hinted anew that upcoming contents are now in the works.

More Explorable Locations

On the other news, players have reportedly discovered a new world in Final Fantasy XV which has no one expected for it. According to a previous Kotaku report, the second half of Catarnica was discovered by a player through "using an out-of-bound glitch to escape" its unseen walls. This only means that the game still has a lot for players to explore. Final Fantasy 15 has sold over six million copies worldwide.
