What Does Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands Laser Pointer-Chasing Cat Suggest?

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands' new trailer had been officially released and there's not much details available yet. Barely three months from the game's debut this March, Ubisoft seems to keep anticipating fans in the dark. The trailer titled "The Red Dot" has left one single question to fans' minds: What does the laser pointer-chasing cat's role in the upcoming title?

"The Red Dot" Trailer

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands is set to be released on March 7, 2017 and just last Friday, Jan. 6, Ubisoft made public the game's live trailer, "The Red Dot." In the clip, a white green-eyed cat is chasing a laser pointer to whatever it leads inside a room which seems to be a hideout of the enemies. The red dot lands on the table where three men are playing cards, but the guy covered in tattoos smacked the cat away. The red dot points to the guy's forehead, then the sniper pulls the trigger. His cohorts are also shot dead.

What The Cat Riddle Suggests

From the looks of the trailer, it appears just a regular clip teasing a part of the entire game. However, there have been reports suggesting that Ubisoft could be hiding something in it which fans may have to read between the lines. The laser pointer-chasing cat remains a riddle in the Ghost Recon Wildlands community but speculations suggests that cats in this title may be playing a major role in the protagonist's quests.

Too Little Too Late

After "The Red Dot" was released, many gaming critics and aficionados have questioned Ubisoft's move to release it at this time. Accordingly, the trailer is already a little too late for a game whose release date is set in two months' time. Even so, Ubisoft has not released any official statement as to what message it intends to convey to its fans.
