Thousands Of People Rally To Support ObamaCare

Thousands of people rally to support Obama's health care law. Democrats and labor organizers spent Sunday, pledging to fight against the repeal of the Affordable Care Act and any attempt to change Medicare or Medicaid. The party's leaders faced the thousands of people, urging them to call the Republicans and push the protest of repeal.

Democrats' 2016 vice presidential candidate, Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va. Said, Nobody's going to shut them up nobody's going to turn them around. In a rally in Richmond that drew a crowd at least 1,000. He added that they are fighting on behalf of tens of millions of Americans. One of the earliest protests by an opposition party against an incoming president, themed "Our First Stand".

Brainstormed by Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Democratic leaders in Congress, each rally introduces people who had faced death or bankruptcy before the ACA went into effect. And during this rally they challenge Republicans to listen to their stories. Sanders said in an interview this week that the purpose of the thousands of people rally against the repealing of the Affordable Care Act is for the Republicans to see that majority of the people was against it.

Meanwhile, in Bowie, a number of rally attendees said they are going to join the Women's march on Trump's inauguration in DC. The rallies also demonstrate how the party's restive left is shaping its response to Trump. According to the Chicago Tribune, some activists rallied while chastising the Democrats who had voted against an amendment to the Republicans' repeal resolution that would have made it easier to import prescription drugs from Canada.

According to the Fox News, Republicans want to end the fines that enforce the requirement that many individuals buy coverage and that larger companies provide it to the workers. But they face internal disagreements on how to pay for any replacement. And how to protect consumers and insurers during a long phase-in of an alternative.

There were thousands of people rally to support the health law, these rallies were held at different places all over the country. Police estimated that about 600 people showed up in Portland, Maine. While hundreds also attended events in Newark, New Jersey, Johnston, Rhode Island, Richmond, Virginia and Boston.
