Chevrolet Reveals 2017 ‘Yenko’ Corvette Grand Sport Before Official Debut

The 2017 Chevrolet Yenko Corvette Grand Sport has been scheduled to make its appearance at the 2017 Barrette-Jackson Collector Car Auction but it appears that kicked off a couple of days ago. However, it appears that the automaker could not wait as the 2017 Chevrolet Yenko Corvette Grand Sport was revealed at a small event in Southern California ahead of its official debut.

2017 Yenko Chevrolet Corvette: Top Of The Line Power

According to report, the 2017 Yenko Chevrolet Corvette is powered by a 2.9-liter twin-screw supercharger that has the same fuel system as the LT4 V8, which is fitted in the Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Accordingly, the 2017 Yenko Chevrolet Corvette is capable of putting out 800 horsepower and 750 pound-feet of torque. This is paired with either a seven-speed manual gearbox or an eight-speed automatic transmission that come from Chevrolet and Grand Sport respectively as reported.

2017 Yenko Chevrolet Corvette: Limited Edition

Motor Authority reported that the 2017 Yenko Chevrolet Corvette will be a limited edition with only 50 units that will be available from Chevrolet dealerships. In addition, the 2017 Yenko Chevrolet Corvette will also available in coupe and convertible. Unfortunately, the 2017 Yenko Chevrolet Corvette will not be available in California because it does not meet the strict emissions regulations of the aforementioned state.

Reports state that the 2017 Yenko Chevrolet Corvette has a starting $46,000 in addition to the price of the Corvette Grand Sport that starts at $66,445. With that being said, buyers will have to pay a total of $112,445 to get their hands on the 2017 Yenko Chevrolet Corvette.

Given the fact that it is a special limited edition, it definitely has the potential of becoming a collector's car. In addition, it has an 800 horsepower capability that promises a lot of fun for anyone behind its wheel. As to the matter of whether it is worth it or not, the answer is yes, it certainly is.
