The Sims 4 Vampires DLC: Here's Everything Revealed So Far

More information about The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack surface as a series producer shares details about the upcoming supernatural life state. According to the SimGuruNinja, vampires will have five needs to take care of and they will earn Vampire Experience (VXP) and Power Points doing "vampire stuff."

The Sims 4 Vampires Only Have Five Needs; How To Fill Them?

SimGuruNinja was generous enough to share a photo of the vampires' Needs menu, which shows Vampire Energy at the top, Thirst, Social, Hygiene and Fun. The only Needs they share with humans are Fun, Social and Hygiene. A normal Sims' basic needs also consist of Bladder, Hunger and Energy.

Unfortunately, The Sims 4 producer did not divulge more details about the needs, though we can safely say that vampires will have to do the same things as normal Sims to fill up the Fun, Social and Hygiene bars.

We can also see that Thirst replaces Hunger and this blog states that if you don't want to eat your Sim friend, you can take a sip from the Plasma fruit. It can be remembered that vampires in The Sims 3 also filled up this bar by drinking Plasma juice from the fridge or by eating the fruit. But we could also ask a favor from our dear human friends.

Vampires Energy, on the other hand, will likely be filled up during sleep. We already know that there are coffins reminiscent of The Sims 2 Night Life, but we're still unsure if we will see the altars from the third installment.

Earn VXP And Power Points To Make Your Vampires More Powerful

SimGuruNinja, in another thread, also detailed how VXP and Power Points work in The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack. Earlier this week, we learned that researching and dueling will help us unlock tiers, so those may be some of the activities that can give us such points.

There are apparently tiers of "Powers," which are not unlocked all at once. Players will need enough VXP to unlock a tier and then enough Power Points to actually buy the Power. There is no limit on purchasing; you can spend the points however you want.

We know of seven Vampire Powers: Shapeshifting (into a bat), Mind Control, Super Speed, Super Strength, Mist Form and Charming. The panel suggests there are more, but not everything has been revealed yet.

It should be noted, though, that your vampire Sims will have to take a new weakness each time a tier unlocks. "Super smart vampires" who have studied Vampire Lore extensively may have the ability to reconfigure their Powers and weaknesses.

Some weaknesses include: Uncontrollable Hissing, Thin Skin (which makes it harder to go out in the sun), Guilty Drinker that only allows for drinking Plasma juice, Withered Stomach and Sleep of the Undead, which means your vampire Sims will only be able to sleep in a coffin.

Apart from these, we should also see new objects and new outfits once The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack comes around. Tune in for the livestream happening today at 4 p.m. EST. Meanwhile, the Sims community is asking what's next after this major DLC and rumors suggest that Pets are coming next.
