NASA Releases Video To See What It Would Be Like To Land On Pluto

NASA has recently creates a simulation video, showing the world what it would be like to land on Pluto. Given that it is currently the farthest planet inside the solar system, it has always been a great mystery to discover what it would be like in there.

NASA Shows Simulation Video Of What It Would Be Like To Land On Pluto

The scientists at NASA have created a video, with the use of over 100 images taken by the New Horizons spacecraft in the span of over six weeks. This was done back in 2015, thus having created and finalized the video just recently. This video shows what it's like to go on a trip to the surface of Pluto, which starts with a very distant view of its largest moon, Charon. The video then leads to its alleged ride for a landing on the surface of the moon.

In creating this, the scientists had to include some of the black and white frames shown in the video, based solely on what they know about Pluto and what it looks like. The camera that was aboard the New Horizons was a low-resolution colour camera, whose images were draped over the frames to provide the best available colour simulation of what it would look like to actually descend from the highest surface of Pluto.

Spaceship Carrying The Camera Travelled Almost 10 Years Just To Get To The Surface Of Pluto

New Horizons flew through the surface of Pluto, having covered more than three billion miles in the course of more than nine years. Thus, it was able to enter the system of Pluto in July 2015, getting so close up to 12,500 kilometres to Pluto. After waiting almost ten years to get to the destination, the New Horizons then was carrying a very powerful telescopic camera that could take photos of features even smaller than a football field. The device has then proven how fascinating Pluto is and its features as well. This is definitely a huge step forward in the world of technology and aerospace news.
