Dota 2 Guide: How To Fix FPS Issues You Have Been Experiencing

Valve created Dota 2  better than Dota  but the sequel has numerous issues that players have been talking about. The developer has provided the patches needed in order to solve the previous problems. Although this time, the players have been commenting on another issue, which is the FPS problems.

How To Fix Dota 2's FPS Issues?

Fortunately, there are other players who are willing to share what they know in order to solve the FPS issues of Dota 2. Windows Report noted that these steps may work for different types of PC.

The first step they need to do is to restart Dota 2 after playing. Next, they must disable any open applications working in the background so Steam can provide the necessary fixes for the game. For the players using NVIDIA GPU, they must go to NVIDIA control panel.

After that, they should select Manage 3D settings and add Dota 2 in the selections. For those who use AMD CPUs, they need to switch off Turbo Core Control before they can download AMD OverDrive. Once it has been downloaded, they need to go to Clock or Voltage tab and deselect Enable Core Control. But they must remember to restart their PCs after the download.

For players who are using low end PCs, they need to turn off the Adobe Flash Player before switching off Steam Overlay. Next, players should play Dota 2 in full screen mode on Steam. Next, they should play using the lowest graphics settings.

Their resolution must be switched to temporary solution. After that, they need to open the video.txt folder. They can now set the setting.nowindowborder to zero. This step can improve the FPS issues for low end PCs.

Valve's Plans To Fix The Problem In Dota 2

As noted by username Thane_DE on Reddit, Valve is already working on the patch that will soon be released for Dota 2. But players need to know that providing the required solutions for the issues on graphics and stuttering will take some time before they can be fixed.

One player even suggested that the other players can reinstall Dota 2 in their PCs. Also, they can even try to download their operating system again just to make sure their desktops will be clean. This may or may not work but it might be helpful.

Valve is determined to improve Dota 2 because a lot of fans are starting to be impatient. On the brighter side, players must know that the developer will provide the fixes soon. All they have to do now is to wait as to when the company will be releasing the patch.
