Xbox One Gets Creators Update, Includes Co-pilot Controller Mode and Other Features

The first set of Windows 10 Creators Update will come really, really soon and the Xbox One will finally get an updated Home screen, a Co-pilot Mode, and a few other impressive new features.

Microsoft has recently released Creators Update changes to its PC and smartphone line of products. Considering that the gaming console is among its biggest sellers, Microsoft did right by providing the Xbox One with a new Creators Update.

New Home Screen

The interface gets one of the more important updates as the new Home screen allows the user to explore related content while playing. The Game Hub is prominently referenced more while interaction with the player's Club is encouraged. The same can be said with the Looking for Groups feature.

The update also allows the user to change the background with art related to the game currently played. PC World also mentions in its report that the speed of the UI has improved.

Co-pilot Mode

The Co-pilot Mode allows two controllers to work as one. Engadget notes that this new feature is great for players who cannot use every button on the controller by themselves. The Co-pilot Mode is also a great way for parents to have fun with their little children. It's like teaching a child to drive, both the parent/driver instructor and the child has control of the wheel or, in this case, the controller.

Improved Guide

Speaking of speed, the Guide screen can now be accessed easily and faster just by touching the Xbox button. This also makes it quicker to see recently played games and to access media controls if the user wishes to play music.

Better Audio

The Creators Update now allows support for Dolby Atmos devices. Xbox One owners can now enjoy better audio by adding Dolby Atmos for Home Theater, Dolby Atmos for Headphones, and Windows HRTF.
