There are only a few days left of January and The Pokemon Company still has not given any update about the Pokemon Bank. The gaming company guaranteed last year that compatibility with Pokemon Sun and Moon is coming this month. With the absence of any official announcement, users are now asking, "Is it still coming as Nintendo promised?"
The Pokemon Company Is Keeping Silent About Pokemon Bank
Ever since January 2017 came, the Pokemon Sun and Moon community has been waiting for updates regarding Pokemon Bank. As of now, none has come, which is why users are getting anxious. Fans took to Twitter to express their disappointment with many saying that it might not be released in January after all.
With roughly a week left before the month ends, the fans' frustrations are reasonable. However, Nintendo might already be planning for its launch right before the transition to February. After all, the official Pokemon Bank Facebook account did promise "more news" about an update earlier this month.
Even Gaming Personalities Don't Know When It Is Arriving
A well-known dataminer also revealed on Jan. 14 that the Pokemon Bank update, which is assumed to bring compatibility with Pokemon Sun and Moon, is sized 61 MB. His tweet mentioned that it is arriving "later this month," but as to specifically when is not known.
Serebii.net webmaster Joe Merrick is also getting bombarded with tweet and emails asking about the Pokemon Bank for Pokemon Sun and Moon, but he insists that he is not withholding information. According to Polygon, he has been replying to tweets with the information he acquired way back on Jan. 5 that says that it is "planned for release at end of January 2017."
He told the publication that the frustration is caused by The Pokemon Company's unclear message. They pegged a late January 2017 release date for Japan, but a wider January 2017 timeframe in the west. This caused some to expect that the Pokemon Bank will be released early.
As of now, there are no specific details as to when Pokemon Bank is arriving in Pokemon Sun and Moon. More news can be expected in the coming days.
