One unique feature of the Samsung Galaxy S8 among the past devices is its expected AI-enabled voice assistants. News admitted that the company would be ending the life of the S-Voice functionality and would replace it with an AI-voice assistant, Bixby. However, it is believed that Bixby would be just the Google Assistant.
Samsung And Google Teams Up To Produce Top Of The Line AI-Based Technology
According to International Business Times, it is expected that Google would co-labor with Samsung to make the Samsung Galaxy S8 a cut above the rest. In one of the interviews of Samsung Electronics Corporate Strategy Planning Vice President Kyeong Tae, he admitted that Samsung and Google would be collaborating well to produce top devices that consumers would definitely love.
"Samsung and Google will have to continue to maintain their strategic partnership to nurture the AI and the market for the emerging technology,"
It is also believed that Bixby would not just be evident in the smartphones but in the TVs and tablet PCs as well.
Samsung Tries To Work On Bixby For The Upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8
Before Samsung already tried having voice assistants, the S Voice and Google Voice, but this time they assured that Bixby would be a lot better than the previous ones. The AI-enabled assistant is said to be a great help in the S8 interface which includes individual apps.
Kyeong Tae hinted that the company would rather work with Google on the voice assistant rather than make it their stiff competitor. However, there is not yet a detailed plan as to how the two would work together in producing the excellent AI-based technology.
Voice assistants have been widely known that people are expecting that Samsung would exceed beyond standards. Some of the well-known AI-based innovations are found in the devices such as Amazon, LG, Honor, and HTC.
