Monster Hunter And Sailor Moon Join Forces In New Game

Monster Hunter and Sailor Moon will soon join forces in an upcoming game. The crossover will commemorate the latter's 25th year anniversary.

Monster Hunter XX Preview

Game developer Capcom will release Monster XX aka Double Cross which will include a famous Sailor Moon character, the black Luna. The game's preview trailer starts with Palico who later transforms into Luna. The Sailor Moon cat has Cutie Moon Rod as she enters the Monster Hunter game. Luna is quite impressive as she battles bigger opponents with her trusty staff. This seems to indicate that the black cat is playable character.

About The Franchise

Monster Hunter is a gaming series developed and published by Capcom. The first installment was initially released for the PS2. Over the years, it was also made available to various PlayStation platforms such as the PS3 and Vita. There are several installments made for the Nintendo Wii, Wii U and 3DS. Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Apple's iOS device also have their own versions. Capcom also hosts an online multiplayer network for this game. An anime and book based on the game has also been released. There are also reports that a Monster Hunter movie is coming out soon.

The storyline basically involves a hunter going on various quests to hunt down all kinds of monsters. The franchise is popular to Japanese and Western players.

About Sailor Moon

Sailor Moon was first released as a manga in 1991 and later made into an anime a year later. Luna is the cat that grants magical powers to the Sailor Scouts who then uses it to combat criminals and evil doers. A remake called Sailor Moon Crystal may come out this 2017.

Monster Hunter XX Release

The upcoming Monster Hunter XX is scheduled to come out on March 18 in Japan. A Western or worldwide release though is still uncertain. The game is only available for the Nintendo 3DS.
