Overwatch players are all too familiar with trying to go up against a team with a Bastion and finding themselves riddled with bullets from his turret mode, but little do they know that Bastion is actually a hero with one of the lowest pick rates in the game. Some players in the forums are actually asking for Bastion to get some buffs added to him, but then again, does he really need them?

According to the forums, some fans have voiced out that Bastion is too weak when he's in recon mode - i.e., the mode where he walks around and isn't a turret. Others have also pointed out that there are simply too many counters for Bastion and this is leading to his low pick rate.

The same people who voiced out these concerns are also well aware that Bastion is very tricky to balance since it is very easy to make him overpowered. Some have recommended that Bastion be given a more powerful gun, be given better HP on tank mode or have his turret animation shortened; but with all the players expressing so much hate for the character in game, Blizzard will have a lot of work to do to make the character a desirable pick.

As of now, Bastion seems to be balanced in a sense that his recon mode is easier to kill than his turret mode, which is all kinds of powerful. Bastion also has the ability to heal himself with no cooldown time, but maybe his tank mode does need a bit of tweaking.

According to Game Rant, Overwatch principal designer Geoff Goodman has confirmed that the team is working on some changes for Bastion, but as of now he couldn not divulge as to what they are. Hopefully, whatever Blizzard does, Bastion gets a higher pick rate, but he also isn't despised by a lot of players.

Overwatch is playable for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, and their Chinese New Year event is live until Feb.13.
