No celebrity represents his fellow geeks better than "Clerks" director Kevin Smith, and it looks like he will be a playable character in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's next DLC, Rave in the Redwoods. Let's hope that there's a "Jay and Silent Bob" easter egg somewhere in the game too.
Though absent for most of the trailer, Smith does appear in his signature hat and jersey by the end of the clip. The game looks to be set in a 90s summer camp where a bunch of teens have to fend off the other partying guys and gals who have transformed into the living dead. Neon sticks meet zombies in the next DLC for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
According to Eurogamer, this is the next chapter in CoD's zombie storyline, and the playable teens are the very same ones that gamers got to use in the Zombies in Spaceland DLC. Aside from the zombies, the players will have to go against the Slasher, a killer on the loose who's looking to add any of the players as trophies for his collection. Sounds like "Friday the 13th," but instead of a lone unstoppable killer, players will have the added bonus of having to fight off zombies in raver gear.
There's no mention of exactly what kind of special abilities Kevin Smith has in the game, but the official synopsis does say that he's a character who's on the side of the heroes. Aside from Smith, the players will also get a whole new arsenal of weapons at their disposal.
For those unfamiliar with Smith, he's the director (and writer) behind cult movies like "Clerks," "Mallrats" and "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back." In all those movies, Smith has always played his mute character, Silent Bob, beside his friend Jason Mewes who plays Jay. Fans can also check him out in his Youtube show, Fatman on Batman.
The DLC for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Rave in the Redwoods, will be available this coming Jan. 31.
