The Sn0wbreeze 2.9.14 jailbreak is a tethered one and works on A4 and pre-A4 devices. The supported devices include the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and the iPod touch 4G.

Here's the step-by-step tutorial on how to jalbreak iOS 6.1.3 using Sn0wbreeze 2.9.14:

Requirements

- The latest version of Sn0wbreeze. (Download here).

- A pre-A4 iOS device.

- A 30-pin USB cable to plug your device into the PC.

- Have iOS 6.1.3 installed on your iDevice. (Download iOS 6.1.3 here).

- Your PC's Windows 8 must have .NET Framework 3.5 installed to run Sn0wbreeze. (Download here)

Important

-  Remember that you need to have iOS 6.1.3 installed on your iDevice which has an A4 processor or is pre-A4.

- This jailbreak only supports A4 or older devices, which means that if you have an iPhone5 or iPhone 4S or the fifth-gen iPod touch that is running iOS 6.1.3 then the jailbreak may brick your device.

- The Sn0wbreeze2.91.14 jailbreak is a tethered one, which means you will need to plug your device into the PC and boot tether with iBooty every time your device reboots.

Procedure

Step 1: Download the latest version of Sn0wbreeze i.e. v2.9.14 (link is given above). Download the 6.1.3 firmware file tailored for your device as well.

Step 2: Launch Sn0wbreeze. To do this click on the blue arrow on the bottom right hand-side of the screen.

Step 3: Next, click on Browser for an IPSW and select the firmware file you downloaded.

Step 4: Once the firmware is verified, click on the next arrow and from the next screen select Simple Mode. Sn0wbreeze will then ask you if you want to activate your iPhone.  Select "Yes" if you want to unlock your phone using tools like Ultrasn0w. Select "No" if you have a factory unlocked iPhone or are on a supported carrier.

Step 5:  Sn0wbreezewill  start installing the ROM and this process may take some time so be patient. Once installed, the firmware will be placed on your desktop.

Step 6: Sn0wbreeze will ask you to enter Pwned DFU mode. Follow the on-screen instructions on how to proceed.

Step 7: Once in Pwned DFU mode, Launch iTunes and keep your iDevice plugged to your PC.

Step 8: iTunes will automatically detect your device in recovery mode. On the PC's keyboard press the left SHIFT key and select Restore. Next, select the custom firmware file from your desktop. The restoration process takes some time so be patient.

Step 9: Once the restoration process is complete the iDevice will boot with Cydia installed.

Booting tethered:

Since this is a tethered jailbreak, as part of the process Sn0wbreeze will create a new folder called iBooty.

To boot your device to the jalbroken state with working Cydia, follow the following steps.

Step 1: Launch iBooty from the desktop.

Step 2: Select your iDevice from the drop-down menu. Next, click on the Start button from within the iBooty interface and follow on-screen instructions to put your device in DFU mode.

Step 3: Once done, your device will boot up. You can now tinker away and install tweaks and apps from Cydia.
