Injustice: Gods Among Us - Reviews, Full Character Roster, Wii U Release Date (Video)

Reviews for Injustice: Gods Among Us (PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U) are starting to trickle in, and it looks like we're in store for one seriously awesome fighting game. Injustice: Gods Among Us has an April 16 release date, but it's been reported that the Wii U version of the game will be delayed in the UK. Domestically, the Wii U release of Injustice: Gods Among Us still appears to be on track.

If you like DC Comics and enjoy fighting games, then Injustice: Gods Among Us is a must-buy. Developed by NetherRealms — the studio that rebooted the Mortal Kombat — Injustice is unique not only for its glorious roster of DC Universe characters, but because of the way it meshes traditional fighting game mechanics with a truly immersive storyline.

We won't spoil the story for you (but watch out for other Injustice reviews, as most of them will), but suffice it to say the Joker really pisses off Superman and a rather epic plotline ensues that involves a huge roster of DC Universe characters.

The most noteworthy aspect of Injustice: Gods Among Us is the way it tells its story. There are no loading screens between cutscenes and battles, and each successive fight moves you further along the storyline. The NY Daily News characterized the transitions as so well executed that you sometimes forget you're playing an arcade fighter.

Unfortunately, if you live in the UK and were hoping to play Injustice: Gods Among Us on your Wii U, you'll have to wait until April 26, as Warner Bros. is reportedly delaying the release for absolutely no reason. The PS3 and Xbox 360 releases are still on schedule.
