#ForTheCulture will highlight notable moments and content from black creators and driving, voices on Twitter.

Twitter's Plans For Black History Month

The hashtag handle #ForTheCulture is Twitter's primary theme for this year's Black History Month celebration, which is meant to be an inclusive hashtag highlighting Black Americans from past and present. Along with the Bot, Twitter will also be relaunching its emoji for #BlackHistoryMonth and #BHM. At the same time, the social media company is also planning to create a mural in downtown New York City.

It's All About The Cause

According to Mashable, when you open up a Direct Message conversation, you will have the option to select any of the four mentioned options. Selecting #ForTheCause, for instance, will start a conversation that will help you find related activities in your area.

Keep in mind that it's a pretty basic level of interaction, but it is enough to get people thinking about Twitter's cause, which is what really matters in the bottom-line. If you are interested in educating yourself a bit with Black History, you can go ahead and send a DM to @Blackbirds.
