Final Fantasy XV Moogle Chocobo Carnival Guide: How To Get Prizes At Fishing Festival

Final Fantasy XV participants of the Moogle Chocobo Carnival can also join in the Fishing Festival. Here are some tips on how to win the available prizes.

How To Join Fishing Festival

The fishing festival takes place in three fishing spots. Veteran players can't miss these places since they are the same ones in the main game. Detailed information is also available via posters pasted across Altissia. To the unfamiliar, the fishing grounds are in the Furgola Canal, Gondola Marina and Sanelio Plaza.

Fish And Lures Available

Fishing festival participants can catch a variety of fishes during the competition. This includes the Big Blaze Bahamut, Coral Allural Sea Bass and Red Barrelfish to name a few. Players will also need lures to catch their prized fish. The lures are available at the Carnival Prize Counter Stores for one medal each.

Those who would like to catch a Cygillian Sea Bass or a Striped Barramundi will need the Stormer: Chertt Focalor lure. The Lucinian Sea Bass on the other hand will require the Purple Bell Focalor. Fishing lines are also important too. One can get the Dragon's Beard line for only 3 Choco-Mog Medallions. There are cheaper lines too like the Super Baleen and Spider Silk which costs two and one Medallion respectively.

Prize and Experience Gained

Participants can bring in a variety of prizes depending on the tag they received. Winners who received the A tag wins the Howling Gust Rod. B tag holders get the Albireo Reel, C winners get the Poppeck: Tinselred Chocobo lure. Those who got the D tag will win a Mog Rank: Rubygold Moogle Lure. E to J tag holders will receive lesser prizes. Any experience and prizes received will be transferred to the main game upon return. A video walkthrough of the fishing festival is available here.

Kupoberry Cheesecake For Luck

It is recommended that players should first proceed to the Square Enix Café and get a Kupoberry Cheesecake. This delicious pastry reduces player's fishing line damage by 25 percent. The food also comes with a free recipe. Players can also try their luck in the ODEKA Ke Chocochick quest.
