Tales of Berseria players will now realize that the game offers various powerful moves to defeat their enemies. One such feature is the Break Soul move.

How To Unleash Break Soul

Playable characters can inflict heavy damage to their opponent using arts and combos. The Break soul though increases their attack power. Once activated, the character's combo and special attacks will inflict heavier damages than usual within a short period of time.

First, players will need to check the soul gauge if there are enough souls to unleash this move. The gauge can accommodate up to five souls but users only need three to use the Break Soul move. Players need not worry about losing many souls for performing this move since it's quickly replenished during the fight. Console players can execute the Break Soul move by hitting the R2 button once there are three more Souls in the gauge.

Unique Break Soul Moves

Tales of Berseria characters have their unique Break Soul specialties. Velvet's Break Soul ability is the Consume Claw. Laphicet's Break Soul will trigger the Divide Pain against her enemies. Rokurou's Break Soul Ability is tricky but very powerful. Meanwhile, Magilou's Break Soul basically cancels her opponents spell chants. A video walkthrough of her ability is available here.

Break Soul Combos

As mentioned earlier, Break Souls can increase the damage of the character's combo attacks. The game also allows players to prolong their Break Soul attacks by linking an extra soul. Once the extra soul is consumed, the character will simply resume the first stages of the combo attack until the required three souls are used up.
