If there is one good thing coming from DC Extended Universe, that is the contribution of female characters in the story. Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" and Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) in "Suicide Squad" were both standouts in their "team" movies and now are in line to lead their own roles. "Wonder Woman" is about to take everyone by storm this year, and "Gotham City Sirens" could be on the big screen as early as first quarter of 2018.

"Gotham City Sirens" is expected to feature not only Harley Quinn. In fact, director David Ayer teased fans with the upcoming celebrity who will act as Poison Ivy and Catwoman in the next film. As rumors of Megan Fox as Poison Ivy have been circling around online, the role of Catwoman didn't get much attention. However, the character might be able to be in the limelight now especially since Haley Bennett expressed her desire to play the role.

Haley Bennett's Hinting To Be The Next Catwoman

As Bennett took a photo and post it on her Instagram account, it might give a hint that she will be getting the role of Selina Kyle a.k.a. Catwoman in the next DCEU movie. Bennet posted another photo, that is apparently a random picture of Catwoman. If that was not enough, she also posted another photo the next day with a new hairstyle that resembles Kyle's short haircut.

Bennett started to make a name in Hollywood in 2016 when she landed roles in "The Girl On The Train" and "The Magnificent Seven." With her fame rising, it would be a brilliant move for Warner Brothers to get her involved with "Gotham City Sirens." Bennett is also in the same age with Robbie, which would make the Harley Quinn & Catwoman relationship more credible. However, she's a few years younger than Ben Affleck, which is more likely could develop feelings between them.

Batman And Catwoman May Not Be In The Same Movie

Ben Affleck said in an interview that he isn't sure if Catwoman will be in the next Batman movie series. Regardless of role's potential, Catwoman might have to wait like Poison Ivy 's character. As seen in Bennett's uploaded pictures, she could possibly have the major role in DCEU. It would be nice if there's another actress lined up for that role. However, with Haley Bennett, this could be another promising movie.
