You can now forget the passengers' seat in the upcoming 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon because there isn't going to be any. It looks like the automaker is bringing us nothing but one pure drag machine. Some of us have already seen it coming as Dodge have already given us hints from its previous teasers and the pieces of the puzzle are already starting to paint the big picture.

2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon: The Lighter, The Faster

In one of the previous video teasers of Dodge for the upcoming 2018 Challenger SRT Demon, the automaker showed the Demon getting rid of extra weight. The question is, how exactly is the automaker doing this? That is simple, get rid of the extra seats. As per Fox Sports, the automaker has confirmed that this is exactly what Dodge has done with the upcoming 2018 Challenger SRT Demon.

Apparently, removing the passengers' seat both in the front and back of the car has reduced the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon's weight by more than 100 pounds. In addition, Dodge has also replaced a few things with lighter materials and because of this the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is now lighter than the outgoing Hellcat by a total of 215 pounds.

One of the other reasons why many people have already assumed that the 2018 Dodge SRT Demon is going to be one mean drag racing machine is because of the fact that it is equipped with drag tires. This was also revealed through one of the automaker's video teasers. It would not make sense for the automaker to just put those kinds of tire on just for show would it? That being said, the possibilities of the new Dodge to come out as a street legal race car is growing each day. But then again, we will never really know until the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon makes its official debut.

2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon: Another Teaser

Recently, the automaker has released another teaser for the upcoming 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. This time, the automaker showed a "Demon Box" containing tools and who knows what else. According to Road and Track, the "Demon Box" may symbolize that future buyers can decide what to do with the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon once they become the owner of one. It is true that all hints so far are pointing us towards the conclusion that it is going to be a street-legal drag race car, owners, at the end of the day can modify the vehicle according to their preferences. That being said, maybe Dodge will give us something between a performance car and a drag machine.
