Super Bowl LI Match Haunts Atlanta Falcons' Matt Ryan; Says There Were Mistakes

Super Bowl LI just took place in Houston, Texas last weekend and it has left fans awestruck with its results. This year, the New England Patriot took home once again the championship, nabbing it just as when everyone thought Atlanta Falcons was going to win the match. The outcome of the latest Super Bowl event has left Matt Ryan in regrets.

Matt Ryan, who is the quarterback for Atlanta Falcons, spoke out that losing to New England Patriots that night was tough. He admitted that he and his team were utterly disappointed over the results because they were so close to getting to do what they have always wanted to do. Ryan went on to say that it was hard to find words that night, adding him to the thousands of fans that were left speechless, too.

Anyone who has seen the NFL championship match between the Falcons and Patriots would understand how Ryan and his team felt. The Falcons actually had it going great in the first parts of the game, widening the gap between the two teams’ scores. But surprisingly, the Patriots caught up and won during a heart racing overtime with 34-28, leaving spectators surprised since it was also the first ever Super Bowl match to head on to an overtime period.

If Falcons have won the Super Bowl LI, it would have been the team’s first Super Bowl title win after losing their chance back in Super Bowl XXXIII. Though the Falcons was packed with players with offensive firepower, Ryan admitted that there were still mistakes made and it had cost them the game. He has voiced out that he wished he had done a better job of tackling the ball after teammate Julio Jones made that awesome catch on the sidelines. Nevertheless, Matt Ryan was given NFL’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) award, beating Tom Brady to the title but the Falcons losing in Super Bowl LI may affect Ryan’s career in a huge way.
