Apple's BeatsX Wireless Earbuds Finally Coming This February 10

The new wireless earbuds from Apple is finally coming. The long-delayed BeatsX by Dr. Dre earphone is set to launch on Feb. 10 as announced by the company last Tuesday.

The BeatsX wireless earphones were announced back in September last year at the same time the AirPods were introduced. The AirPods had its share of controversy after its release was delayed and no explanations were given by Apple executives. The AirPods has since been made available leaving BeatsX in a quandary after the latter missed its expected release date which was supposedly around late fall.

Fans of Beats by Dr. Dre will wait no longer as the neck-band style wireless earphone will drop in stores in a few days and will come with a $150 tag price. According to CNET, the BeatsX will be made available in Apple's physical stores worldwide as well as in authorized resellers. Interested buyers may also order one online from Apple.com.

The new product from Apple subsidiary Beats by Dr. Dre comes with a W1 chip that allows it to pair smoothly with iPhones and iPads. This is the same chip found in AirPods so those who have tried it have an inkling as to how seamless the BeatsX will work with Apple's mobile devices.

The BeatsX has a wire that connects the left and right earbuds which allow the user to loop it around the back of his or her neck. As MacWorld noted, Beats places the microphone and remote in the wire allowing it to create smaller earbuds as compared to the AirPods. The BeatsX, which connects via Bluetooth, has a magnet on each earpiece allowing it to lock in place and keep them from dangling.

The BeatsX will utilize the Fast Fuel tech which will provide 2 hours of playback in just 5 minutes of charging. It also boasts of 8 hours of battery life. The wireless earphones will initially come in two classic colors, black and white. Gray and blue BeatsX earphones will follow a little later on.
