Netflix has finally revealed the first official trailer for “Iron Fist" and it as good as any fans of the Marvels series expected it to be. The trailer took viewers to the life of Danny Rand, introducing him and his luxurious life. But the trailer showcased that there was more to the story.
If viewers are familiar with the DC television series, “Arrow” on The CW, the origin story of Danny Rand becoming Iron Fist is quite similar to it. Danny comes back from the dead after going through a plane crash when he was 10 years old. His parents did not survive the crash but he did and he returned at a mature age, creating confusion in the Rand Enterprises that his parents created.
Not only did he come back fifteen years later, he has also learned martial arts. During the time people thought Danny was dead, he was actually trying to survive and was trained in martial arts. In the trailer, he said that he came back to the city because there are criminals lurking inside his family’s enterprise and he is bent on getting rid of them.
The trailer also revealed the villains in the up and coming series but there are two characters that surely caught fans’ attention. First, they have finally shown Coleen Wang, the femme fatale character portrayed by actress Jessica Yu Li Henwick. Just like Danny, Coleen owns a dojo in New York and she becomes one of Danny's allies.
Claire Temple was shown in the trailer and it seems she is going to be in this Marvel series as well. Claire, portrayed by Rosario Dawson, has already appeared in “Jessica Jones” and was one of the main characters in “Luke Cage”. Apparently, Claire is a member of Coleen’s dojo and this would clearly finally put into light how the former is actually more than just a nurse from Hell’s Kitchen.
Starring Finn Jones as Danny Rand and Iron Fist, the Marvel series “Iron First” will make its premiere on March 17 this year. The Marvel series was created for Netflix by Scott Buck. After the release of “Iron Fist”, another Marvel series, “The Defenders”, which stars Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Daredevil, and Iron Fist will make its debut.
