Men More Likely Than Women To Ask About Getting Hitched

A survey conducted during Valentine’s season revealed that men are more likely to show signs that they already want to settle down compared to women. This survey also points out that men are easily lured into getting married if most of their male friends have already settled down. This gives him the impression of solitude, thus he will have the urge to begin his own family to gain a sense of fulfillment and belonging.

According to the ‘Valentine’s Day’ survey, more couples value quality time spend together than any material things. Therefore, the most wanted gift by couples during this occasion is a romantic dinner, movie viewing. If asked what material things they would want to receive, the survey reveals that men prefer chocolates while women prefer jewelry.

The top two answers on which way to celebrate February 14th this year is dinner at a restaurant (38%) followed by spending a romantic evening at home (33%), according to Yahoo Finance.

The new study also revealed that married adults prefer proposing marriage on Valentine’s Day. For millennials, 43% said that they are most likely to propose on this day. However, 85% of women claimed that they never forced their partner to get married, while 57% of men report are pressured to get married.

One News Page also reported that among 1,000 married Americans, 39 percent of men admit to giving their partner small clues to get hitched. On the other hand, only 28 percent of women admit the same. For men, the most common way of hinting their partners about marriage plans is to subtly bring it up in their conversation.
