Razer Blade With Intel Kaby Lake Launched, Sets New Performance Benchmark For Thin Laptops

Razer is on a roll in upgrading its laptop models. Just last September, the company has refreshed the Blade Stealth and in November the Blade Pro was also upgraded. Now, the company has launched the most updated version of the Razer Blade gaming laptop.

The newest version of the 14-inch notebook is powered by Intel's latest chips called Kaby Lake. 16 GB is the standard RAM size of the 2017 laptop and a new 4K optional touchscreen has also been added. The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 GPU is also a standard feature of the Razer Blade 2017 and buyers can choose from different storage variants of up to 1 TB.

Just like other Razer notebooks, the new Razer Blade also has the company's iconic keyboard lighting array that users can customize. Generally, there are two core models of the 2017 Razer Blade and these two are practically differentiated by their display type. It's either you get the one with a standard Full HD panel or one with a 4K touchscreen display, and as mentioned, you can choose between different storage options.

As per Neowin, Razer CEO and co-founder Min-Liang Tan says that the Razer Blade sets the benchmark for thin laptops' performance. He also says that the Razer Blade model was embraced by more users last year than ever before and the company is excited to make the flagship laptop even more available this year. Additionally, the CEO points out that beyond gaming, the Razer Blade model has been enjoyed by the people for its portability and power when it comes to video editing, software development, and music creation.

For the Razer Blade Kaby Lake's price and availability, know that you can now get the Full HD version directly from Razer for $1899 USD in the US and $2749 CAD in Canada. For those in the UK, the Razer Blade 2017 can be yours for £1,799 GBP. For people who are buying in France and Germany, this laptop sells for €2,149 EUR. Razer also says that the 4K UHD model of the Razer Blade is expected to become available Q2 of this year.
