Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite is an upcoming fighting game developed and created by Capcom, the game is planned to release this 2017 for playStation4, Xbox One, and Windows. Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite is the 6th entry in the Marvel vs Capcom game series of crossover games and will be the 9th entry for all Capcom Vs. series game. The player will be able to use characters from Marvel and Capcom comics in two on two matches.

Many fans are wondering, "who are the characters in the game?". Unfortunately Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite only showed 6 characters on its trailer those are Iron Man, Captain Marvel, and Captain America for Marvel comics. While Ryu, Mega Man X, and Morrigan from Darkstalkers are the characters shown for the side of Capcom.

Capcom announced Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite last December 2016 at PlayStation Experience. The announcement revealed only four characters; Ryu, Iron Man, Mega Man, and Captain Marvel, the first three characters were already been part of the previous Marvel vs Capcom games all the way back to 1996 crossovers. Although Megaman X has never seen before to appear in any Marvel vs Capcom games, but the original Mega Man can be played in Marvel vs Capcom 2 and Zero (X's partner) can be played in Marvel vs Capcom 3, while Captain Marvel will be an all-new character for the series.

Other playable characters still remain a mystery, but some rumors say that some characters from Marvel Cinematic Universe will be part of the game, which means that some characters from the movie Guardians of the Galaxy might also appear on Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite. The creative director Bill Roseman stated that the developer of the game, Capcom, is taking a "Forward stance" on the characters that will be involved on Infinite, which made the fans believe that the characters in the game might be comprised of Marvel Cinematic Universe characters.
