Following Hi-Rez Studios' revelation of the upcoming Paladins OB44 patch, players are now enjoying it on the PTS. Though the update seems to be great as it looks, it still received mixed feedbacks from the players. As a result, the company has made several adjustments to the forthcoming update.
According to the post by Paladins Lead Designer Hi-Rez Drybear on Reddit, they have made some changes to the Essence and Legendary Systems that will be arriving in Season 1. After the adjustments, the cost of unlocking Radiant Chests is now reduced from 3000g to 2500g. The rewards from Weekly Quests are now increased from 800g to 1000g per Quest.
On the other hand, rewards given for achieving the first three wins daily are now doubled from 150g to 300g, which brings a total of 900g per day. Players will also now be given a free Radiant Chest for achieving Mastery Levels 1, 2, 3, 4 and 10 for each champion. Meanwhile, players will be retroactively awarded Radiant Chests for achieving mastery progress on each champion prior to the OB44 patch.
New accounts will be granted a base 36,000 Essence after players have completed the tutorial. On other note, players who completed the tutorial prior to OB44 patch will also be given 36,000 Essence. Hi-Rez Studios updated the contents of the Founder's Pack adding 72,000 Essence. Meanwhile, players who previously bought the bundle will also receive the additional 72,000 Essence.
Furthermore, Hi-Rez Drybear also mentioned that they will be running special events and sales beginning Feb. 22 to Feb. 26, 2017. During that time, players can expect the following bonuses: double all Gold/Mastery /XP gained, 25 percent sale on the two existing Boosters and 30 percent off on the Crystal prices of Radiant Chests, which also include bundles. These Radiant Chest bundles can range up to 20 pieces which will cost 490 Crystals approximately 24 Crystals per chest.
Lastly, Hi-Rez Drybear said that they will continue to improve these new additions especially the Legendary Cards in the future game updates. Paladins OB44 update is expected to go live sometime around next week.
