LG Launches Featherweight Gram Notebooks With Increased Battery Life

The new notebooks from LG are now available. LG Electronics USA announced that its six new Gram notebooks are now selling for at least $999.

The LG Gram notebook family welcomes six new members in the LG Gram 13Z970, LG Gram 14Z970, and the LG Gram 15Z970. Each model comes in two different sizes for a total of six new notebooks. Despite the different sizes, one thing is common among all of them, they're all lightweight.

The new LG Gram notebooks were first unveiled at the CES 2017 last month. The quality of the notebooks that caught everyone's fancy at the event was their weight or the lack of it. The 13.3-inch and 14.0-inch 13Z970 models come at an incredible 2.07 and 2.14 pounds, respectively. The 15.0-inch model, meanwhile, weighs only 2.40 pounds. As a point of comparison, the 13.3-inch Samsung Notebook 9 which also debuted at the CES 2017, weighs only 1.8 pounds while the 15-inch version is 2.17 pounds heavy.

According to Tech Radar, all the new LG laptops come with Kaby Lake processors and full HD resolution. The 13.3-inch LG Gram 13Z970 comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The variant with a touchscreen and fingerprint sensor has a battery life of 15 hours while the non-touch one lasts for 17.5 hours. The 14-inch models come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory and 14.5 hours of battery life.

The announcement also mentioned the prices for the new LG Gram notebooks. The 13.3-inch non-touch LG Gram 13970 is the cheapest at $999.99 while the touchscreen variant is worth $1,099.99. The 14.0-inch Intel i5 256GB model sells for $1,199 while the i7 512GB one costs $1,499. Finally, the 15.6-inch LG Grams are available for $1,199 (Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB) and $1,699 (Intel Core i7, 16GB RAM, 512GB). The LG Gram notebooks are available nationwide.
