Nokia Lumia 928 For Verizon Outed In Vanity Fair, Release Date May 14?

Nokia has finally confirmed the Lumia 928 and, although the release date is still unclear, the Finnish outfit is scheduled to hold an event in London on May 14. There's really nothing else the company might realistically be revealing other than the Nokia Lumia 928 for Verizon, as well as its cousin, the Nokia Lumia Catwalk. It's possible we might also see the Nokia EOS.

After already popping up on a billboard over the weekend, the Nokia Lumia 928 made an appearance across the pages of Vanity Fair. The same photo is now available on Nokia's official website; however, the Vanity Fair spread offers a few more details.

The Vanity Fair ad, which was first spotted by Engadget, shows someone on a beach holding a Nokia Lumia 928 with Verizon branding and snapping a photo of some friends enjoying the surf. Beneath the Lumia 928 is a caption that boasts the handset's low-light camera functionality.

According to the Vanity Fair ad, the Nokia Lumia 928 will have PureView and a Carl Zeiss lens, as well as the company's proprietary image stabilization software.

So far, all three of the released/leaked images focus on the phone's camera capabilities. The billboard ad, spotted by MyNokiaBlog, has the following caption: "Nokia Lumia 928. The best low-light smartphone camera." The billboard photo is again of the Lumia 928 snapping a photo and the Verizon logo appears on the bottom right-hand corner.

While it's all but inconceivable that we won't see the Verizon-bound Nokia Lumia 928 on May 14, it's worth noting the company hasn't officially said anything yet, and there are two other handsets likely to be unveiled at the event. The Nokia Lumia Catwalk or Lumia 925, as it's often called, will probably make an appearance, and the Nokia EOS, with its rumored 41-megapixel camera might stop by as well.
