Horizon: Zero Dawn Guide To Getting The Best Weapons In The Game's Market

Horizon: Zero Dawn has been out for a couple of weeks now, and since then, players and fans are all enjoying the game's unique background of robot dinosaurs all roaming around the place. Unfortunately, with all the abundance of these creatures, it's bound for players to encounter strong creatures that can decimate them. However, obtaining weapons to fight back is the key to survival and more.

Where To Find The Best Weapons In The Game's Market

According to Tech.Mic, like other features in the game, Aloy's weapons are categorized by color to determine its rarity and ranges from being Green, which are uncommon, to Purple, which are very rare. Using weapons with better rarity provides additional benefits as it can either contain multiple mod slots or it can fire different types of ammunition or both.

Furthermore, most of the game's best weapons can be found and purchased sometime in the middle or late part of the game. These weapons can be purchased by paying a specific amount of metal shards plus a rare drop at any hunting goods merchant inside and around Meridian. Additionally, players don't need to go around looking for the best deal, as these weapons are sold at the same price.

The Best Weapons Found In The Market

In an article by USGamer, the best items in the game are the Shadow Ropecaster, Shadow Sling, Shadow Hunter Bow, Shadow Tripcaster, Shadow Sharpshot, Shadow Rattler and Shadow Blast Sting. Each weapon is strong in a certain aspect, but purchasing each one is not a necessity as players can just buy some of these to suit their gameplay of Horizon: Zero Dawn.

The Shadow Ropecaster is a weapon that immobilizes opponents and would cost 500 Metal Shards and one Snapmaw Heart to be purchased, the Shadow Sling is used to shoot Shock, Fire and Freeze bombs at opponents and costs 650 Metal Shards and one Crystal Braiding. The Shadow Hunter Bow fires Hardpoint, Hunter and Fire arrows and costs 650 Metal Shards and one Watcher Heart.

The Shadow Tripcaster shoots Fire, Shock and Explosive traps and costs 750 Metal Shards and one Scrapper Heart, the Shadow Sharpshot fires Harvest, Hardpoint and Tearblast arrows and costs 800 Metal Shards and one Sawtooth Heart. The Shadow Rattler fires multiple standard, Shock and Freeze bolts at a time and costs 950 Metal Shards, one Board Skin, one Rabbit and one Fox skin. And lastly, the Shadow Blast Sting fires explosive and proximitiy bombs and costs 1400 Metal Shards and one Lancehorn Heart.

On a positive note, buying these weapons multiple times and customizing each one with different mods to create different versions is a very good idea as it allows the player a ton of options to use against opponents. And while these weapons may be the best in some aspects, there are other powerful weapons that can be obtained through the hunting lodges and can be read here.
