Nintendo Mini NES News: $17 Adapter Allows Switch's Controllers To Also Work On The Console

During the holidays last year, Nintendo released the NES Classic Edition, and it eventually turned into an instant hit. This throwback console made fans all over the world to put their hands on to this mini-console, which already includes more than a dozen, installed NES games. In addition, they all be thrilled to know that this NES Classic Edition can be played along with Nintendo Switch's Joy-Con controllers.

Joy-Con controllers have already been known to be utilized in playing games in smartphones and PCs since it can function as a standard Bluetooth gamepad. It is also already known that NES Classic Edition games can be played with it too. It is also good to take note that it will require 8Bitdo's wireless retro receiver adapter.

According to Tech Crunch, this $17 adapter allows Bluetooth gamepad to be used with the NES Classic Edition. This adapter was made available in December last year, but 8Bitdo has already released a free firmware update recently, thus making it sure that the adapter allows users to connect Joy-Con controllers into the NES Classic Edition.

The firmware update that was recently released by 8Bitdo will also let players play NES Classic Edition using the Pro Controller for the Nintendo Switch. However, it already costs $70 individually, and it is likely that all Switch customers would be getting one.

On the other hand, the Nintendo Mini NES shortage of stocks might end up soon because vendors are already stocking up on this item. It is said that suppliers like Tesco, Amazon and Argos are already in the process of replenishing their stocks, according to UberGizmo. There were also reports that the Nintendo Classic Mini has already appeared back in Argos' official website. The console disappeared from the said store's website ever since the last holiday season.
