Oppo F3 Plus Teasers Show Why It's The 'Selfie Expert'

Oppo is fast making a name for itself in the camera phone business. The company is about to introduce the F3 Plus, a smartphone that sports a dual selfie camera. The Oppo F3 Plus will have a 16MP "main" selfie camera along with an 8MP "sub" camera on the front of the device that are aimed at making the device the so-called Selfie Expert.

The Oppo F3 Plus is scheduled to launch on March 23 but fans don't have to wait until then to get a glimpse of the handset. This early, Oppo has managed to spike up interest on the F3 Plus with a couple of teasers. Oppo first teased the F3 Plus on its official Facebook page in which the Chinese company described the handset to be equipped with VOOC fast charging, an upgraded touch access fingerprint reader, and a f/1.7 aperture camera.

GSM Arena got hold of a new teaser via YouTube wherein it indicates that the Oppo F3 Plus will have a wide-angled camera lens which is perfect for selfies. This means users can fit more faces into the screen as they take pictures of themselves. The promotional video also showed the F3 Plus in full 360-degree view.

According to Mashable, there is a possibility that Oppo will release two smartphones in the next couple of days. Oppo has been referring to the device as "F3 Plus of the F3 series" which may mean that there are other phones under the F3 line.

Oppo introduced its game-changing 5x dual camera zoom in late February at the Mobile World Congress. The new tech gets its inspiration from a periscope. The 5x "lossless" zoom system can zoom in on a subject closer and clearer than any existing camera system today.

Oppo is the fourth largest smartphone maker in the world today and it figures to stay on top with the help of its innovations in camera tech. In China where the market is huge, Oppo landed on the top spot in 2016. Oppo and Vivo founder Duan Yongping credits the company's strategic plans that fit with the local market. Yonping went on to say that Apple's failure, falling from the third spot to fifth, is because of the tech giant's unwillingness to adapt to the local market. Oppo is bound to keep its first place finish if it successfully collars the selfie-loving market particularly if the F3 Plus comes through with its promise of being the "Selfie Expert".
