NFL Trade Rumors: High Asking Price Scuttles Adrian Peterson Trade With Green Bay; Tony Romo Stuck In Free Agency

It seems the latest NFL trade rumors involving Adrian Peterson with the Green Bay Packers are not coming to pass, at least for the next few days. Some observers believe that the biggest reason is the high asking price of Peterson. Meanwhile, practically the same thing is happening to Tony Romo who is apparently stuck as a free agent.

Is No One Interested In Peterson?

In the recent past, a number of NFL trade rumors went around hinting that the Green Bay Packers are targeting the legendary Peterson. However, recent developments reveal that no team is interested in picking the tab. This is somewhat of a mystery since he is the best running back in the league, and no team is interested?

His Asking Price Is The Problem

The answer, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, is AP's high asking price. It is undisputable that AP could really shatter defenses of other teams. But he is now 32 years old and it seems the NFL no longer values running back so much as it did before. Many pundits are suggesting that AP should adapt to the changes in the league for these NFL trade rumors involving him to materialize.

Tony Romo Appears To Be Stuck Where He Is

Meanwhile, Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys is also seemingly stuck in free agency. There are NFL trade rumors that say his intentions and that of his agent are too transparent. They say that the recent reports of him flying to Houston might have alarmed Dallas. This might have caused Jerry Jones, the Cowboys' owner, from making a call.

If this situation persists, many NFL trade rumors suggest that the draft deadline will be the only thing that will serve as Romo's unofficial deadline for moving. Apparently, this is also true with all the biggest NFL players currently stuck in limbo. For now, it seems the Cowboys are not doing anything by way of trading Romo to another NFL team.
