2017 Moto X: Possible Specs, Design And New Features Revealed

A recent report shows the key specifications, details and images of the widely anticipated new edition handset of Moto X 2017. A user named Jerry Yin has shared multiple photos of what seems like a prototype of the device, that includes its specifications. The snaps come with a "MOTOROLA CONFIDENTIAL PROPERTY. NOT FOR SALE" message just below the "Moto" logo, and a fingerprint sensor.

According to the latest leak circulating the internet, the Moto X 2017 handset is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's mid-range System on Chip, Snapdragon 625. Its SoC is going to be supported by 3 GB of Random Access Memory (RAM) as well as 32 GB of built-in storage capacity and support for storage expansion via its MicroSD. Moreover, the Moto X 2017, whose model number is XT1801, is said to sport dual rear cameras and a front-facing flash as far as cameras are concerned. Interestingly, the rear camera has a visible bump, reminiscent of the Moto Z.

Exterior wise, the Moto X 2017 leak showed a unique design for the device. It has an all-metal curved body judging by the pictures showed on the recent post, according to a source. As such, the 2017 model slots into the mid-range category, a downgrade from its premium tag way back in 2015. This makes sense since Moto Z has taken its place as the flagship anchor for Lenovo, a credible reason for the lack of mod pins.

Furthermore, Lenovo is still quiet about the upcoming device. There's no word on when we can expect the Moto X 2017 to launch. Perhaps, the Moto X 2017 could be one of the six phones expected to be released under the Motorola branding this year.
