Tesla S Is Officially The Fastest Production Car In The Whole World

It is finally official, the Tesla Model S is the fastest production car in the whole world. According to its CEO Elon Musk who recently took to Twitter, the Model S will do 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. Additionally, with "Ludicrous +", a downloadable software update, the supercar can reach 60 mph in as short as 2.4 seconds.

In a separate test conducted by America's Motor trend, the Tesla Model S managed to reach a shocking time of 2.28 seconds, making it the fastest car ever introduced. Nevertheless, it is worth noting that the model in question is the latest P100D sedan that is equipped with the abovementioned Ludicrous + software. This supercar combo is still rare and unavailable in most markets.

Forbes' own test without the Ludicrous + software also reached the 60 mph figure in 2.5 seconds, making the company's claims true to its words. Needless to say, the speed tests reveal that the Tesla Model S is faster than many luxury cars in the market. This includes the Ferrari LaFerrari, Porsche 911 Turbo S, Lamborghini Aventador and Bugatti Veyron.

This makes the positive forecasts for Tesla all the more plausible. A personal commentary has shared that the company's successes can lead to up to a 400 percent rise in share in three years' time. Nevertheless, as far as the Tesla Model S is concerned, this sedan is more than just a pretty face. Sources say that the car has a good combination of pace, poise, and precision.

Additionally, the Tesla Model S has got Nappa leather seats, a massive dashboard touch display and brushed aluminum materials for its doors. It also has the bio-weapon defense mode that offers medical-grade air filtration. Overall, the Tesla Model S is a luxury car inside and out. It's a little heavy, but it is still one of the most ambitious cars in the world that delivers quality.
