Huawei Honor 8 Pro: Ultra-Powerful Specs Come With A Great Price

Honor is unveiling the latest product after the successful launch of the Honor 8 last year as its flagship product, using the latest and powerful Kirin chipset. Today, the company is launching a higher-end model with a larger screen, more powerful SoC and an all-around upgrade, the Honor 8 Pro.

The Honor 8 Pro has a sleek all-metal body design with rounded edges. It comes with a 5.7-inch display with Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution featuring a pixel density of 515 ppm. Under the hood, it is a massive 4,000mAh battery mentioned to give up to 2 days of continuous usage with the Smart Power mode. The device is powered by Kirin 960 octa-core processor clocked at 2.4GHz. Also, there is also a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage up to 128GB. As for the camera department, the Honor 8 Pro will be continuing with the same 12MP + 12MP dual camera setup as seen on the Honor 8. While for selfies, there is an 8MP camera on the front. More so, the rear camera can record videos in 4K resolution and the front camera is limited to Full HD resolution.

The device also sports a circular fingerprint on the back of the device. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE connectivity which is missing on the Honor 8 phone. The Honor 8 Pro measures 157 x 77.50 x 6.97 mm and weighs 184 grams. As for connectivity options, it includes Cat.6 LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, 3.5mm Audio port, and a USB Type-C port.

The Huawei Honor 8 Pro will be available in Navy Blue in the UK at launch, You can preorder the Honor 8 Pro starting today in the UK, France, Italy, Spain Germany, Italy, and Switzerland. It'll cost around £475 or 549 euros, which converts to roughly $585 or AU$770, while no word yet on US or Australian. That's definitely a great price for what looks like a very decent and powerful flagship phone.
