Overwatch: Blizzard To Introduce New Voice Lines For Lucio, Sombra And More

The Overwatch team is undeniably stepping up their game especially in these past few months, introducing new heroes, new reporting system, augmenting the SR system and even unveiling the second PvE mode of the game, Uprising. Today, it appears that the team will also incorporate new voice lines for numerous heroes particularly Lucio and Sombra.

Overwatch New Voice Lines

With the release of patch 1.10, data miners have uncovered something hidden within the game files and it turned out to be a series of new voice lines for some heroes including Lucio and Sombra. Some of the interesting new voice lines are the "Boostio" line for Lucio which would probably be in conjunction to his "amp-it-up" skill. Sombra will also be saying if it's even possible to hack the score board.

For those that wanted to hear all the upcoming voice lines, click here. As of the time of this writing, all the heroes that will be getting new voice lines (Orisa gets multiple new lines) are as follows: Lucio, Orisa, Sombra, Reaper, Widowmaker, Zenyatta, and Tracer. There are also hints that there will be more coming for the live version. However, it should be worth noting that patch 1.10 has only been live on the PTR.

PTR Update

In other news, patch 1.10 also introduced the new augmented SR system which basically reduces the "aggressiveness" of the SR multiplier. As reported by iTechpost, Blizzard intends to create a more balanced MMR system in the game by tweaking the SR multiplier; which ultimately, reduces the chances of distressing loss streaks -- further deviating the player from his "true SR."

However, some players are frustrated about the update pointing that it also affects the rise of SR from one's win streaks - which also holds true considering that the new system reduces the drastic rise and fall of the player's SR; making the climb onto the competitive ladder a bit harder than it used to.
