Telltale Games Releases Guardians Of The Galaxy Episode 1 Launch Trailer

Before the official launch of Telltale Games' Guardian of the Galaxy Episode 1 tomorrow, the developer has released a launch trailer entitled Tangled Up in Blue. The video footage provides fans a few details regarding the overview of the game's plot. It is said that the latest video footage relates upon the previous release of the episode's first trailer several weeks ago.

According to Game Rant, the launch trailer highlights the events after a massive battle that has occurred. Meanwhile, the Guardians managed to retrieve an artifact that possessed a great amount of power trapped inside it.

Based on the episode's description, each member of the team has a reason to tap into the power of the mysterious item. Though Thanos was seen as a threat to the group in the first episode, it appears that there is a superior antagonist arriving in the future. It was described as a ruthless foe who is the last of her kind, who is apparently going after the artifact.

For those who want to grab a copy of Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series' first episode tomorrow, it can be purchased for $5. The future episodes are also expected to have similar price point as they are released afterward. Meanwhile, for players who desire to grab the physical version, the Season Pass disc will not be available until May 2 in North America, and May 5 internationally. It will offer the game's first episode and the future four episodes when they will be released.

The sales model applied for Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series is similar to other games of the studio such as The Walking Dead and Batman. Based on the report, the model made the digital version arrive first followed by a physical release thereafter. Overall, many players hoped that the upcoming game will not suffer similar issues encountered in Batman's first episode.

The game is set to arrive tomorrow, April 18, for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It will also be available on Mobile platforms via Android and iOS.
