Don't Expect The Overwatch Team At E3 This Year

Due to a surprising and rather puzzling announcement, fans should not expect Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan and the rest of the team at E3 this year. However, actor Terry Crews has teased a special announcement during the gaming event, which many speculate has something to do with the game's 25th hero.

Overwatch Team Will Be Absent At E3

In the game's official forum, one user made a thread asking fans what to expect from the first-person shooter in the upcoming convention. Sadly, Kaplan shut down hopes for any content that might be announced that day by personally replying to the thread. "While we totally appreciate the enthusiasm, the Overwatch team won't be attending E3 or announcing anything at the show this year," he claimed.

Needless to say, fans were absolutely devastated by this surprising message by Kaplan. Some were thinking that the post might have some sort of other meaning. In line with this, Crews announced that he would be making a special announcement come E3 during one of his Facebook Live videos, as per PVP Live. Many fans speculated that it had something to do with Doomfist as he even booted up Blizzard's first-person shooter game.

Terry Crews Announcing On Their Behalf?

Despite the announcement, this could mean that the actor himself might be unveiling the hero instead of the team. On the other hand, some believe that the team might be planning an announcement at an earlier date, specifically on the game's anniversary. Blizzard might also reveal more information about the hero or any possible additions to the game following the event.

For now, fans will just have to wait for further news regarding Overwatch and its upcoming hero. Moreover, the development team has been entertaining Terry Crews lately as it is evident by the actor's recent visit to their base. With this in mind, could he really be the highly-requested voice for Doomfist?
