Rumors of a white Nexus 4 have been swirling in the blogosphere for quite some time now, including recent reports that suggest Google will launch the white version of the handset on June 10. Now, more photos of the handset have leaked online, indicating that we may not have to wait for long before the device hits the market.
An Android Police report suggests that they have received press photos of the handset, which usually indicate that the device is set to hit shelves sooner than later.
Previous reports also indicated that the white version of the Nexus 4 will come with 32GB internal storage, but the Android Police report says, "According to the tipster who sent us the pictures, the white Nexus will come in 8GB and 16GB varieties, which means no 32GB+ options (at least for now)."
The Nexus 4 has been very popular ever since its launch in Nov. 2012. The handset is currently available only in black color option. This is not the first time that the white variant of the handset has emerged online as previous leaked images of the handset have been doing the rounds online for a long time now.
A MobilenApps report previously reported that a UK retailer, Carphone Warehouse, advertised the Nexus 4 in white and black color options in Nov. 2012. A leaked screen shot of Carphone Warehouse's internal inventory system also showed the Nexus 4 in white color. However, the white version is yet to make it to the shelves.
Many market observers were waiting for the white Nexus 4 to make its appearance at the Google I/O earlier this month; however, the event left smartphone enthusiasts disappointed as the white Nexus 4 was a no-show.
The Nexus 4 had a high demand due to its top-end specifications coupled with the affordable price tag attached to it. However, many new smartphones have arrived in the market after the Nexus 4 launch. Rumors also suggest that the next-generation Nexus 5 will debut soon. As such, many customers may not want to buy the Nexus 4 even when it debuts in a different color.
