Samsung accidentally reveals Galaxy S4 Mini

Samsung accidentally showed the upcoming Galaxy S4 Mini GT-I9195 on its own website. The Samsung website showed the picture of the Galaxy S4 Mini, which looked very similar in appearance to the full-sized Galaxy S4.

The news of Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini appearing on the company's website was first reported by RedmondPie. However, it seems that Samsung has realized its mistake and swiftly removed the smartphone listing from its website.

The RedmondPie report notes that "The currently unannounced Galaxy S4 mini today saw itself get an outing of sorts after one of the people in charge of the company's app website accidentally added it as a compatible device. Clearly someone didn't get the memo when Samsung was trying to decide when to announce its smaller Galaxy S device!"

This is the first time that Samsung has posted a picture of the Galaxy S4 Mini on its own website; however, previously many pictures of the Galaxy S4 Mini have leaked online.

A previous Phone Arena report said "Legitimate photos of the upcoming smartphone have appeared numerous times on the web, and now we're giving you the latest batch showing the device in perfect clarity."

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is expected to sport a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED display with 540 x 960 display resolution and 256 pixels per inch (ppi). The smartphone is speculated to have 8/16/32GB on-board storage versions with the option to expand using a microSD card.

The Galaxy S4 Mini is said to feature an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera. The device will also pack in a 2-megapixel secondary camera, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Samsung's Touch Wiz Nature UX user interface and a removable battery.

Rumors hint that the Galaxy S4 Mini will launch by the end of May but Samsung has not confirmed any dates. With the device appearing on the company's website accidentally, it seems that the official launch will be sooner than later.
