'Game Of Thrones' Season 7 Spoilers: Jon Snow's Real Name Revealed

“Game of Thrones” Season 7 will finally air in just less than a month. Various updates have been released to keep the waiting shorter. The previous season of the said show left off with huge revelations and a new one pertaining to Jon Snow has been revealed.

In “Game of Thrones” Season 6, everybody finally found out Jon Snow’s real identity. The season took back viewers to the past when Bran Stark visited an important vision. In that vision, he saw the Tower of Joy just after Robert’s Rebellion ended. Bran realizes that this vision involves his late father Ned Stark and sees a younger version of Ned as he storms inside the tower to learn about what has happened to his sister, Lyanna.

There have been stories that Lyanna was kidnapped and raped by Rhaegar Targaryen. This is the story that the late King Robert Baratheon believed since he was madly in love with Ned’s sister and was heartbroken over her untimely demise. However, the vision suggests that Lyanna has something more with Rhaegar and the two spawned a child who happened to be the bastard Jon Snow that Ned took in.

Now that Jon Snow has been confirmed to be a real Stark and even a Targaryen, many are wondering how things will unfold now. With “Game of Thrones” Season 7 yet to air, it seems like Jon Snow’s real name has been divulged. Empire magazine seemed to have confirmed that Jon Snow’s real name is Jaehaerys Targaryen. Fans even insist that this was what Lyanna inaudibly whispered to Ned before she passed away.

However, this has gotten a lot of fans in debate since based on how Lyanna moved her lips, the name Jaehaerys still doesn’t quite add up. The rumored real name of Jon Snow has yet to be confirmed by HBO. Hopefully, when he and Daenerys team up in “Game of Thrones” Season 7, the truth about his identity will finally be revealed.
