Phantom Dust HD Re-Release Crosses One Million Player Mark

Phantom Dust HD Re-release has already broken the one million player mark. This latest news was revealed yesterday by Adam Isgreen, Creative Director of the game. On top of that, the game is expecting a big update on Wednesday.

The Title Has Increased Its Sales 20 Times Over

The HD re-released version of Phantom Dust was just launched a month ago and it seems to be well-received by the gaming community. When the original version was released, there were only 50,000 copies sold. Now, with more than a million buyers, the title has effectively increased its sales more than 20 times.

After the title's initial release and its humdrum sales performance, there were rumors that a full reboot of Phantom Dust was in the making. However, nothing of that sort materialized. What came out of that experience is the HD re-released version of the video game which was just recently released.

A Significant Update Is Also Coming

The latest news seems to indicate that gamers are now more accommodative of Phantom Dust based on its sales that have increased many times over. As if to ride the crest, Isgreen has also revealed that the game is expecting a new significant update soon. He particularly mentioned the daily skill reward system in the game.

Isgreen revealed that this new system will enable players to unlock skills that are only available in the expansion of the original game. Gamers have only to log-in to their in-game profiles, and they will already be able to unlock a "specific skill for the day," for free. In addition, a gamer will also get a bonus skill for a week if he plays the game four days during that week.

If the player plays Phantom Dust four days a week on a continuing basis, he will be able to get all skills for free in a matter of 11 weeks. However, if he doesn't have that amount of time to spare, he can just shell out $5 and get all the three copies in just one pack.
