Sony i1 Honami's detailed specs leaked showing impressive camera capabilties

Rumors of Sony i1 Honami smartphone have been doing the rounds very frequently. A recent report has now leaked detailed specifications of what the i1 Honami may be made of.

Taking pictures with smartphones have become extremely common. Many users don't even carry a separate camera but instead take pictures with their smartphones. Not surprisingly, companies are integrating top-quality sensors, flashes and camera interfaces in smartphones to attract more customers.

Samsung has recently launched its camera smartphone with 16-megapixel sensors, the S4 Zoom, which is still to hit shelves. Pictures and specifications of Nokia's 41-megapixel camera smartphone, the EOS, have been emerging online very frequently of late. However, the Sony i1 Honami may put all other camera smartphones to shame with its high-end camera abilities.

Sony is well known in the imaging industry with its top-end cameras. At the same time, the Japanese company has been very aggressive in the smartphone space with the launch of high-end smartphones like the Xperia Z and the Xperia ZL. The integration of top-end cameras in smartphones may bring a revolution in the market.

The company has not confirmed details of the i1 Honami but the leaked specifications of the handset seem very impressive. The upcoming handset is speculated to have a 5.0-inch 1920 x 1080 Triluminos, OptiContrast, X-Reality Engine, 2000:1 + Contrast Ratio display.

According to the leaked specifications, the i1 Honami is rumored to have "2/3" 20/13 MP Exmor RS camera with Sony G lens, Cybershot Camera UI, Camera shutter key, Interchangeable lenses." The handset is also expected to have Xenon + Dual LED Flash, Mobile BIONZ Image processing and a 1080p Exmor R front-facing camera with 2.2-megapixel sensor.

If you are using the i1 Honami to take pictures then undoubtedly you will need a powerful battery. The upcoming handset is expected to have a 3,000mAh battery.

And, if you're the outdoor type, you'll be happy to know that the i1 Honami is protected against those occasional water splashes, drops or the dust. The i1 Honami is expected to be IP 55/58 dust, water resistance and shock resistance.

The leaked specifications of the i1 Honami seem great on paper, and hopefully the official specs will be the same.
