Gamers looking for a PS5 are getting some good news this week. PS Direct is back online and it is sending out an invitation for the next big sale. Fans interested are recommended to sign up now.

Many fans probably know that buying a PS5 is extremely challenging. Although major retailers regularly restock their supplies, the gaming console always sells out in a matter of hours!

Gaming Intel pointed out that PS5 restocks were getting better at the end of 2021. This was evident during the Christmas season because many retailers offered the gaming console on sale.

Unfortunately, the trend ended at the start of the year. So now gamers are back savaging any available stocks they can find.

PS5 Restock Update: PS Direct Sales

The Sony official online store, PS Direct, is one of the many stores that abruptly stopped its sales earlier this year. However, sources say it is finally back after its restock hiatus!

Twitter user Cruz shared the exciting announcement on social media. The post included a photo of a PS Direct invite saying "we are pleased to extend this opportunity to purchase a PS5 console."

The photo also announced that "Exclusive Access (starts) on February 17, 11:00 - 16:00 PT (14:00 - 19:00 ET)." Be warned the sale is only effective while supplies last.

How to Join PS Direct: PS5 Restock February

For reference, only consumers who receive an invite can join the PS5 sale. But be warned that joining the sale does not guarantee a purchase.

PS Direct is using a lottery system to sell their PS5 stocks due to the high demand of the market. This means attendees will get an equal chance of buying all available gaming consoles if they are chosen.

To join the sale, consumers must receive an email similar to the one posted by Cruz. This email contains a unique "access event" URL code redirecting the user to the event. Receipts are instructed to click on the during the schedule indicated by the email. This should automatically put consumers on queue for purchase.

Note that users will need their PSN ID during checkout. This is because shipping details like name and address will be taken from that account.

According to an earlier article, there are also five pro tips that consumers can use to boost their chance of buying a PS5.

1. Register or log in to the PSN account before joining the queue.
2. Do not use links from Twitter or external websites and go directly to https://direct.playstation.com/en-usJoin the online queue 30 minutes to an hour ahead of the time indicated
3. Enter the queue using multiple devices like laptops, smartphones, and tablets. Do not use multiple tabs on a single browser because this will be counted in one address.
4. When in the queue, do not refresh or reload the browser. Doing this can bring the recipient to the back of the queue list.
