With the rising popularity of the Truth Social App, several Android users have unintentionally installed the counterfeit version of it.

According to Business Insider, an Android version of Donald Trump's social media app has been downloaded for over 100,000 on the Google Play Store.

An app that has a similar name to Truth Social misled some fans who were hoping to test the Android version of Trump's platform. To further emphasize its name, the said Truth Social app on Android is called "MAGA Hub - Truth Social Trump."

Since its release, this counterfeit app has been the top result for the search phrase "Truth Social."

Insider also reported that the majority of the app's downloads occurred after February 8, which was closer to the original app's release date.

With regards to the features, the "MAGA Hub" app has a photo-based feed that collects material from other users, while the genuine Truth Social App has huge similarities to Twitter.

For those unfamiliar, Donald Trump's social media app Truth Social is only available in the Apple App Store. In relation to this, TMTG has yet to make a statement if the app will be rolled out on Android and if yes, when.

Since Google Play Store solely works on Android devices, this platform is one of the go-to platforms for scammers due to its accessibility. With that, it is important to research first about those counterfeit apps from the App Store.

As previously reported, follow the steps below to download the original version of the Truth Social app.

First, click the App Store on your iPhone then search "Truth Social" on the search bar. In case you are having a hard time locating the app, tap this link.
Once searched or directed to the app, tap the "Purchase" button located beside the app icon to start the installation. Keep in mind that this app is free, which means iPhone users will not be required to pay any amount
After tapping the "Purchase" button, a circular icon will appear indicating that the installation process has begun.
When the installation process ends, tap the "Open" icon beside the app.
Lastly, open the app and complete the signup process.

However, it is possible new users will be placed on the waitlist and receive a prompt message that reads "Due to tremendous demand, we have placed you on our queue."

We previously advised not to worry about it since its description explains that the current version of the Truth Social app is 1.01. On the other hand, the Trump loyalist who runs TMTG, Devin Nuness, stated that they expect Donald Trump's social media to be fully functional by the end of March.
