How to Protect Yourself From Identity Theft

Identity theft is a risk that not only victims of the T-Mobile data breach face. Anyone who is not careful when it comes to personal and sensitive information especially in the digital world places themselves at risk.

So how do you protect yourself from this kind of threat?

According to the website of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), one of the ways that you can keep yourself protected from identity theft is by securing all documents that have your personal information. Particularly, do not just share your Social Security Number with just anyone.

The FTC also recommends adding multi-factor authentication where possible and making sure that all your online accounts have strong passwords.
