Mercedes-Benz EQXX Concept: 1,000 KM on One Charge

As per a news story by The Verge, the Mercedes Vision EQXX traveled the long roads of several locations in Europe, such as Italy, Switzerland, Cassis, and Germany.

The luxury carmaker did not give specifics, but it claimed that its new electric concept vehicle has been driven for "over" 1,000 km or roughly around 621 miles without needing to top up its battery along the way.

It is worth noting that Mercedes went on to disclose that the Vision EQXX still had about a 15% of battery charge level when it arrived at its destination. With that in mind, the EV could still run for about 140km or 87 miles if it needs to go further.

That's still the case considering that Mercedes also revealed that the EQXX has been on the road for 11 hours and 32 minutes without any complete stops, according to a recent report by InsiderEVs.

The German carmaker also shared that the concept car averages an epic consumption performance of 8.7 kWh per 100 km or 7.1 kWh per 62 miles during its more than 1,000 km trip.

The 1,000 km journey began from Germany. From there, it traveled the roads of Switzerland, then to Italy before arriving at its destination, which is in the port town of Cassis.

The temperature during the longest EV distance travel was fluctuating from as low as 3 degrees Celsius up to 18 degrees. Meanwhile, the average speed during the non-stop 11-hour trip is 54 mph or roughly around 87 kph.
