During the second annual Meta Quest Gaming Showcase on Wednesday, April 20, Meta shared news on free updates for existing games, several upcoming games, and a glimpse at a Ghostbusters VR adaptation. All will be playable on Quest 2.

GameSpot reported that the event was broadcast live on a number of sites, including Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook, among others. You can also view it on the Horizon Venues app because it's a VR event.

If you missed the event, we've compiled an overview of the biggest announcements below.

Cities: VR

Meta Quest claimed that Cities: VR is going to bring the streets to life in a way that has never been seen before. Cities: VR aims to recreate the essence of Paradox's Cities: Skylines on Quest 2, so fans of that game will feel right at home. It aims to provide a more immersive view of the scenery of the cities you're designing. Cities: VR will be available on Quest 2 on April 28, and preordering ahead of time will get you a 10% discount.

Among Us VR

The VR version of Among Us will be released by the end of 2022, according to InnerSloth, Robot Teddy, and Schell Games. The Verge said that a new trailer for the hit game's VR adaption was also released.

Beat Saber - Electronic Mixtape

Meta Quest said that Beat Games announced their next release, the forthcoming Electronic Mixtape, on April 20. The mixtape will feature tunes from hit artists such as deadmau5, Marshmello, Pendulum, and others.

Resident Evil 4 - The Mercenaries

Armature Studio has released the Mercenaries mode, which is a free update for everyone who bought Resident Evil 4 on the Oculus Store. It's a timed challenge game in which your goal is to survive as long as possible while amassing the highest potential score. This version of the game, as per The Verge, includes online leaderboards, 20 additional challenges, and new unlockables such as big head mode, a black-and-white visual effect, and golden gun skins that may be used in the campaign as well.

Moss: Book II

Meta Quest is excited to announce that this summer, Moss: Book II will be released for Quest 2. Book II continues the story begun in Moss. Quill's quest continues after she rescues her uncle Argus, with the discovery that a winged tyrant is chasing her within the hexed castle where her uncle was formerly kept captive. Quill, on the other hand, has a plan of her own, one that could ultimately put an end to the Arcane's ruthless rule and save the planet from a great unmaking. Quill will need a loyal partner by her side to stand a shot, and ideally that partner is you.

Ghostbusters VR

The showcase ended with Mark Zuckerberg revealing that a Ghostbusters VR game is in the works for Quest 2. You'll be working out of the Ghostbusters' San Francisco headquarters to solve a mystery while hunting ghosts in the next game. There will also be a multiplayer mode in which you may play with up to three other people, as per TechCrunch. No word on a release date.
