Blizzard Entertainment has recently released its mobile game entry in its Diablo franchise, Diablo Immortal on iOS devices, making it free-to-play for everyone starting today, per the game's Apple App Store page.

The game was released earlier than expected in some regions, MacRumors reports.

Diablo Immortal iOS Release Details

According to Blizzard Entertainment's announcement on the official Diablo Immortal website, the game was planned to be available in most regions on June 2.

Although these regions are not specified, the Asia Pacific region is not included as the game is scheduled for release in that region by June 22, which is almost three weeks from the game's global launch, per a separate Blizzard announcement.

The region consists of countries such as Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macao, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand.

Players in Vietnam will only get to play the game through their PCs on June 22.

Meanwhile, the players outside of the Asia Pacific region could pre-load or install the game on their mobile device, depending on the time; the game is available on June 2 at 10 AM PT, per Video Games Chronicle

To pre-load or install the game on iOS devices, open the App Store on your device and type "Diablo Immortal" in the search bar to search for it and open the game's store page. Once there, tap on the "get" button, then click the "install" button and allow the game to download. This step is not available for those who have yet to reach the previously mentioned time.

The game is not available in Belgium and the Netherlands due to the game's use of loot boxes, which is prohibited in those countries.

Diablo Immortal Details

Diablo Immortal is an all-new mobile fantasy MMORPG for mobile devices and the PC, which takes place between the events of Diablo II: Lord of Destruction and Diablo III, per Blizzard's description of the game.

In this game, players can choose one of the six available classes to play as: the Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer, and Wizard.

Players, with the help of the last Horadrim, Deckard Cain, are tasked to locate the Corrupted Worldstone shards the Angel Tyrael shattered and finish what he started. During their quest to collect the Worldstone shards, they will be met with reawakened evils such as the Skeleton King and Queen, the Countess and her cultists, and the corrupted rogues once led by Akara, according to the game's overview

The game can be played in PC and mobile platforms through the game's cross-progression play, which can only be used by signing up for a Battle.net account. Players can play as a guest to test the game and then sign up for an account to carry progress over to PC.

Cross-play is possible between players using mobile and PC platforms, per Polygon.
